Hello. Last week, I watched a movie "The Wizard of Oz". The movie was very classic and active. The movie was full of musics and dance. So, let me tell you about the plot of the movie. One day, Dorothy heard that her dog is going to other place. Dog went out, but it ran back to Dorothy. Dorothy ran away with the dog. But she went back to the home. While she was going back to home, storm came. She went into the house. But storm blew up the house. So, the house went to the Oz. After she arrived at the Oz, she went out. Oz was so beautiful. And she met people from the Oz. They were so happy, because bad witch from the East died from Dorothy's house. Dorothy was surprised, but everybody celebrated the death of her. However, East witch's sister, bad witch from the West, was very angry and cursed Dorothy. And she tried to take East witch's shoes, but good witch from the South gave it to Dorothy. Dorothy wanted to go back to Kansas, so she started to travel the Oz. And on her way, she met Scarecrow, Tin man, and lion. All four of them were trying to achieve what they want. They had many harsh situations and they had trouble with bad witch, but they achieved and got something from the travel. And Dorothy went back to home.
There were many unique character in this movie. Dorothy, was very brave, even though she is a girl. She resembled her great leadership. And I think lion, tin man, and scarecrow was very creative characters. There goal was very solid.
Kansas made me to think about the hometown. I don't have a certain hometown, but the image of Kansas was very friendly to me. Also, even though it was little unrealistic, it was very beautiful. The world that is covered with flower and talking tree, I think that is very creative.
To conclude, I think this movie was very creative. The setting of this movie is totally creative. As I said, the background of Oz was very beautiful and new. Even though this movie is made almost 80 years ago, it was very enjoyable to me. I recommend readers to watch this movie.
Min-Ji, thanks for posting your review. You have written a good introduction and the leadership lessons learned from the story. The summary of the plot however could have been a bit more detailed providing the reader with more insights - for example what were Dorothy's friends looking for and why they joined Dorothy to go the Emerald city.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your next post:)
